A Tribute to My Father

I would like to remember my father, Shri TejKaran Luhadia, who was born on September 8, 1945, and passed away on November 4, 2018, at 73 years old. He was not only a loving husband to my mother, Padma, whom he married on May 23, 1969, but also a devoted father to me and my siblings, Shilpa and Shailja. Born and raised in Jaipur, he operated the family business of running a clothing shop.
My father was close to my grandfather and grandmother. I still remember when Grandfather was in the hospital and would repeatedly ask for my father during his hospital stays. Grandmother also had a special place in her heart for my father, with whom she spent most of her time during her final years. He was a dedicated father, first and foremost. Thanks to his efforts, my siblings and I attended the best schools in Jaipur, meeting all of our needs and wants. He was a kind, compassionate, and religious person who was always ready to lend a helping hand, especially to family. He cherished his Saturdays with a group of friends, known as the Saturday Party, with whom he traveled extensively. His journeys took him across almost all of India, including Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Kanyakumari, as well as internationally to countries like Canada, the US, and Malaysia.

Acknowledging My Support System

  • I owe much to those who have supported me throughout my life. That is why I would like to acknowledge the following people who played such a crucial role in my life. Without their support, I would not have been able to finish my self-reflection book and accomplish so much in my life:

  • My mother, Padama Luhadia, who told me to get reading, was a devotee of God.
  • My mausaji and mausi, Dr. S.K. Luhadia and Sulochana Luhadia, both of whom served as guides, role models, and a source of inspiration, learned discipline, and hard work.
  • My sister, Shilpa, and my brother-in-law, Abhishake Jain.
  • My sister, Shailja, and my brother-in-law, Alok Jain.
  • My son-in-law, Yugank Singhal.
  • My brothers-in-law, Manish Jain and Priya Bhabhi.
  • My friend, Rajeev Kothari, and his wife, Payal, who are always helping out and guiding me in day-to-day matters.

Heartfelt Thanks to My Family

To my entire family, whose unwavering support and encouragement have made this journey possible, I would like to express my deepest gratitude. Your patience, understanding, and faith in me provided the strength to see this self-reflection book project through from its inception to completion.

To My Wife

I am forever grateful to my wife, Priti Luhadia. Her unwavering love and support are the backbone of this self-reflection book. As a pharmacist and MBA degree holder, she brings intelligence and dedication to everything she undertakes. She brought the same unwavering strength into my writing journey. Her sociable nature, problem-solving mind, and tireless dedication inspire me every day. Together, we climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, walked 135 km to Mahaveerji, and crossed countless challenges. Each of our adventures reminds me how fortunate I am to walk through life with her by my side.

To My Daughter

My heartfelt thanks to my daughter, Dr. Kunjal Luhadia, whose sincerity, hard work, and kindness continue to inspire me. As a doctor specializing in endocrinology, she brings dedication and compassion to every patient and every challenge. Her encouragement and belief in my work have been a constant source of strength. I am deeply proud of the person she is and grateful for her support throughout this journey.

To My Son

I am deeply grateful to my son, Akshay Luhadia, whose sincerity, kindness, and dedication brighten every day. As a lawyer, a marathon runner, and an avid reader, he balances discipline with compassion. He has always been looking after me and encouraging my work throughout this journey.
